Job Description
The Tech Initiatives and Vendor Manager is responsible to provide strategic leadership/direction in building processes and/or identifying and driving improvement initiatives to increase people and organisational capabilities across the Technology department. He/she also leads strategic IT initiatives through applying structured project and program methodologies to existing processes and increasing consistency and successful project implementation across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Guide and support the technology department in structuring an IT Governance Unit
Work with senior leaders across the organisation to identify processes improvement opportunities and drive the execution of solutions
Lead the definition of policies, processes, strategies, standards, and guidelines using best practice frameworks, whilst reviewing current approaches and suggesting improvements;
Lead the development strategy and guidelines for appropriate staffing requirements, exercising control over resources, budget management and planning and contributing to defining standards;
Help and support in the re-engineering of IT processes (demand management, change management, incident management, service request management, etc.);
Supports Manager to monitor and devise recommendations for the entities’ compliance with corporate governance
Building and maintaining close working relationships with business partners and ensuring alignment to group standards and policies
Ensuring specific metrics and measures are incorporated into solutions enabling continuous improvement
Skills and Experience Essential
Degree in Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields
5-7 years of proven experience in a similar role
Proven experience in managing people
Excellent Project management, organisation, planning skills
Strong problem-solving skills: comfortable tackling complex problems and breaking these down into manageable pieces
Strong interpersonal skills able to communicate, influence and adapt communication at different levels of organisation
Fluency in English, Italian is a plus.
