We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated Data Scientist to work with advanced data analysis. The selected candidate will be part of a cross-functional team composed of data scientists, data analysts, and software/machine learning engineers. This position is based in our office in Chiasso (Switzerland) or eventually full-remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop complex analysis putting together different sources of data to identify patterns and anomalies
  • Develop effective machine learning solutions to deal with challenging real-world classification and regression problems
  • Collaborate in a cross-functional team, including data scientists, software/machine learning engineers, and data analysts

Qualifications

Essential

  • Excellent knowledge of Python and SQL
  • At least 2 years of experience or a Ph. D. in Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics
  • Good knowledge of Supervised methods (Classification, Regression)
  • Good knowledge of Unsupervised methods (Clustering, Feature Selection, Dimensionality Reduction)
  • Knowledge of the most important Python libraries for Machine Learning and Data Analysis
  • Experience with distributed version control systems
  • Able to formalize a complex problem, prepare a plan, and clearly communicate the findings

Desirable

  • Experience with Spark
  • Experience with NoSQL databases
