Reporting to the Chief of People (who is based in LM’s Head Office in Switzerland), the HR Manager has responsibility for all generalist HR activities for our German population based across Germany (Munich, Berlin and Essen).
This role is suited to someone who is used to working in a stand alone role, but has been exposed to matrix organisations. The ideal candidate will possess strong operational HR skills.
Responsibilities will include:
Manage and advise international colleagues and managers on best practice and DE legislation with regards to HR management and employee relations cases (i.e. on & offboarding, small scale acquisitions, restructures), with the awareness that this role will be counted on during any change programmes by Head Office.
Manage and oversee operational and strategic HR activities for Germany to ensure timely execution of areas such as on & offboarding, attendance and leave e.g., relations with social organisations and more.
In line with DE employment legislation changes draft/update relevant policies and ensure roll out across the business.
Work in conjunction with the global People team, support and roll out global HR initiatives directed from Head Office.
Manage the payroll with support from our external payroll partner: entry of absences, variable elements, verification and control of payroll, annual tax declarations.
HR data reporting.
Recruitment: support from an HR perspective in managing the end to end recruitment process.
Perform any other HR related projects as assigned or when requested.
Manage an HR Assistant who is based in Essen.
Extensive operational HR experience.
Experience of working in a stand-alone role, but familiar to receiving input/direction from other colleagues.
Experience of working in an organisation with an overseas Head Office.

Able to work in cross-cultural environments.
