lastminute.com is looking for a Junior Business Controller within the Business Performance Management team now part of the Corporate Development, Strategic Planning & Control and Investor Relations department.

Finance is all about numbers... unless you are part of the Business Performance Management team in lastminute.com; it’s knowing the numbers plus what is behind in terms of key business drivers.. Enthusiasm and energy help us look at them from various perspectives while delivering solutions.

Our aim is to analyse, troubleshoot, evaluate and publish in-depth analyses to ensure we have the most up to date and reliable information to help the team to make the best possible decisions. You will be involved in evolving the team’s practices, constantly looking for improvements in analysing and understanding data and reporting.

Main Responsibilities

Working as part of a team, as business controller, you will:

• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly business performance and trends of main KPIs
• Contribute in deep dive analysis in order to understand main performance drivers
• Support in the delivery and evaluation of financial information on a monthly basis
• Be part in the budgeting and forecast process and in the variances analysis

Essential skills

• 1-2 years of working experience in a similar role or in a Big Four firm or in a similar or bigger size corporation in the Business Planning and Control area
• Analytical skills
• Degree in Economics/AFC/management engineer
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Strong MS Office skills in Excel, PowerPoint & Word

Nice to have

• Technical experience to analyse complex datasets

• Flexibility of working practises and availability during peaks to meet business demands
