Job Description

lastminute.com is looking for a Growth Data Analyst for its Data & Analytics department.

The candidate will have the opportunity to become a key member in one of the Data & Analytics teams, leveraging his/her analytical skills to produce actionable insights and improve business performance.

Precisely, the candidate will be responsible for supporting and driving business intelligence for Dynamic Package, our main product, working closely with Business to provide in depth analytical and technical support to improve insight and growth of the category.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data extraction, analysis and reporting, in order to drive performance insights and support business decisions
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns with the goal of optimising business performance
  • Works closely with internal stakeholders in order to identify and prioritise business needs and opportunities 
  • Explores and proactively propose new business opportunities 
  • Communicates and presents results, insights and recommendations to all levels of the company, clearly and concisely
  • Cooperate with other Data Analysts across the company on joint projects, to identify and exploit synergies and to preserve/improve governance on data and on business knowledge

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree in Economics/Mathematics/Statistics or similar fields 
  • Strong knowledge in SQL-like languages
  • Strong knowledge of Excel or similar tools
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal
  • Ability to influence decision-makers through presentations of analysis
  • Good experience in visualizing data  

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a similar context 
  • Good knowledge of statistic analysis techniques (R, Python, …)
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools
  • Willingness to cover end-to-end the data lifecycle, from raw data to insights
  • Knowledge of data modelling and best practices related to analytical databases
  • Familiarity with digital and e-commerce business
